The Gippsland City of Sale Community Information Website began in 1998. At that time there was nothing at all about Sale online. Since then the site has progressed to become much more. It has become the only website based on Sale that is specifically designed for the community's benefit. Many changes have taken place over the past several years and as it continues to develop it will go through many more. It became SaleCommunity.com late in 2002 when it was moved to it's own domain at www.salecommunity.com.

From the beginning it was decided this would not be an online business directory or a money making venture. All groups & service providers listed are listed for the benefit of the community, and are therefore listed at no cost to the groups themselves.

We wanted a website that the entire Sale community could benefit from....

• a place where residents could go to find out all they need to know about the area.
• a place where people visiting the area could come and see what accommodation and resources are available.
• a place where people thinking of moving to the area could come to find out about the local schools, churches and so forth

... and that is exactly what it is becoming.

To date this site has received no government funding.
All labour & costs relating to this site have been generously donated.
