| Lakeside Rockers Gippsland Inc |
| The Lakeside Rockers are dedicated to promoting Rock
'n' Roll and providing a means by which rockers can enjoy
their interest in a social and fun atmosphere. The club
holds lessons for Rockers of all ages and levels every
Wednesday night starting at 6:30pm in the Sale Memorial
Hall. Each year the club holds four regular yearly hops
based on Christmas, Valentines, Elvis, and Halloween.
For these hops we bring in quality Rock 'n' Roll bands
from all over the State. During the year we also hold
monthly dances at the Sale Bowls club with music by DJ
Doc Rock. |

We offer students of the performing arts the opportunity
to perform in front of an extremely highly qualified
judge who then issues a 'critique'. A second line would
be that, armed with this critique, the student discusses
with their teacher any future course of study.
The City of Sale Eisteddfod Society Inc meets on the
first Tuesday of the month (except July) and welcomes
new members.

The Gippsland Bush Poets meet every six weeks at the
Rosedale Hotel on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm. The club
has thirty members and is one of six Victorian Bush
Poetry Clubs. Our aim is to keep alive the tradition
and heritage of this form of Australian entertainment.
Not all of our members are Poets, some just come along
to our meetings and functions to enjoy the comradeship
and involvement of the club. After a formal meeting
that usually takes 1 hour the members entertain with
Bush Poetry. It is a great place and opportunity for
the novice poet to start and for the more seasoned Poets
to try new works. The club has a quarterly newsletter
and membership costs $20 a year. The Gippsland Bush
Poets will be running the Victorian Bush Poetry State
Championships in Stratford in October this year. |

| Yconnect? |
|
Red Cross Yconnect? is an innovative Unit co-ordinated
by a group of young and dynamic volunteers. Focusing
on the 18-35 year age group participants develop community
projects and fundraising activities to provide unique
volunteer experiences for those who wish to learn and
develop new skills, while giving something back to the
community. The broad range of projects allow for a "fluid"
commitment to provide for changing lifestyles and priorities
and work and study commitments.
Examples of projects in Sale:
- Friends Teen Mentor Program - mentoring a teenager
at school
- Breakfast Club - providing breakfast to primary
school children before school
