Sale has a wide variety of specialty shops in addition to three major supermarkets.

The shopping centre Gippsland Centre Sale was built in 1981, includes Coles & Safeway Supermarkets, Target and around 50 specialty stores. The Sale shopping centre has become a significant part of the Sale community.
